Description

This is a very special etching created for the cover of my Retrospective book. I was quite motivated to make the etching three-dimensional and it began with the little wooden cubes. As a retrospective themed etching, I wanted to feature all the little themes and interests in my life, and how they connect and mesh. It was quite fun balancing all the materials and colours, resulting in a concise grid-like formation. You may be able to spot music, arts, flora & fauna etc…

Playing with three-dimensional form and collage with print-making was something that caught the eye of international practitioners, and led to my invitation to the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts.
