EXHIBITION BOOK
A book produced to support the solo exhibition ‘Ophthalmic Confections’, containing sculptural work from this period along with a selection of etchings and acrylics. This publication comes with picture window and collage elements on the front cover.

All exhibition books are from the original printing and in good condition.

Over the past four decades Leon Pericles has provided his audience with the skills to construct a place for themselves within his amazing world. With wit and engaging visual skill he has enabled us to see the world from his unique perspective and, in the process, to become more familiar with the physical environment we inhabit and more aware of the things we hold dear and the ideas that have shaped us. That’s not an easy task, but it is one that Leon has done with unique flair and quite extraordinary commitment.

His new work exploits this idea of visual overload with great elan. Now working in three dimensions, his multifaceted sculptural works are indeed a feast for the eye. He describes them as ‘worlds within worlds that have a compass point of infinite distance with the clarity of an intimate environment’, and that sense of endless possibility, of expansive horizons and unbridled range beautifully captures their optimism and generosity; characteristics never in short order in Leon’s life and work.
