On Leon's daily walks, he collects interesting objects and pieces that he finds along the way. What might be junk to someone else, Pericles can find the beauty in it's colour, texture or pattern. After collecting many objects, he groups different pieces together constructing with them or painting on them which eventually form a new piece of art.
